Acting Associate Administrator for Planning & Environment
Sherry Riklin is the Acting Associate Administrator of the Office of Planning and Environment for FTA. In that role, she oversees FTA’s overall approach to administering the planning process, the major capital grants investment program and environmental programs and policies.
Ms. Riklin led FTA’s efforts to advance the planning and performance based planning requirements, including collaboration with FHWA on joint guidance and rulemaking as well as defining the integration of setting transit asset management and safety targets by transit operators that support multi-modal transit investment goals.
Prior to joining the Office of Planning and Environment, Ms. Riklin served as a Policy Analyst in the Office of the DOT Secretary. Ms. Riklin also served as a transportation planner with the Hartford, Connecticut Metropolitan Planning Organization. Ms. Riklin received her B.A. degree in Economics from Stony Brook University, and a Master of Urban Planning from Hunter College.
